Indian Relief reached Bam in January 2004

A 75 bed full-fledged field hospital set up by Government of India has become fully operational at Bam.  Its services are currently being utilized by the people of Bam. The hospital is fully equipped with all essential equipment including an Operation Theatre and is manned by specialized doctors, like Orthopaedist, Pediatrician, Gynecologist including lady doctors.  The hospital is also equipped with necessary medicines and other required supplies.

The Embassy has also set up a Control Room at Zahidan to liaise and assist the victims of the earthquake.
